Using the chrome extension, you can record both your screen and camera together or just your screen or just your camera. To install the Google Chrome extension, refer to Installing Chrome Extension.
1. Click the dadan icon in the extension of your Chrome. If the dadan icon is not visible on the browser bar, open the extensions list and pin dadan Screen & Webcam Recorder.
Alternatively, you can also start recording from within your portal. To do so, navigate to your Personal Library.
2. Click New Video + and click Record a video.
The dadan dialog and the camera bubble will be displayed.
3. Select what you want to record. The available options are:
- Screen & Cam: Records your screen and camera. You can also select if you want to record your entire desktop or only the current tab.
- Screen Only: Records just your screen with no camera. You can also select if you want to record your entire desktop or only the current tab.
- Cam Only: Records only from your camera
4. Based on what you want to record, set your camera and microphone permissions.
Note: Before you begin recording, check the acoustic indicator to ensure that the microphone is picking up the audio.
5. Select the video quality with which you want to record from the dropdown list. The available options are 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, and 240p.
6. Click Start Recording.
The Choose want to share dialog will be displayed.
7. Click the tab that you want to share. The available options are:
- Entire Screen – Your entire screen will be recorded.
- Window – allows you to select the window that you want to record. Select the window that you want to select.
- Chrome Tab – allows you to select the tab that you want to record. Select the chrome tab that you want to record.
8. If you want to record your system audio, check the Share system audio field.
9. Click Share.
The recording will start.
10. To stop the recording, click Stop Sharing at the top.
