Quickly Fix Common Recording Errors

Here are a few things that you can run through if you are facing recording issues:

Chrome Extension 

  1. Restart your Chrome browser & device.
  2. Reset your dadan Chrome extension by removing and reinstalling it:
    • Right-click on the dadan Chrome extension icon and then select Remove from Chrome.
    • Restart your Chrome browser.
    • Then reinstall dadan Chrome extension.
  1. Update your Chrome browser – Make sure you are using the latest version of Chrome – you can check your Chrome version at chrome://settings/help.
  2. Clear your Chrome cache – This definitely helps!
    • Open Chrome and enter the following URL in a new tab: chrome://history/ 
    • Click Clear Browsing Data
  3. Check your upload speed – You will need at least 5mbps upload speed to record successfully with dadan.

Desktop App

  1. Restart your device
  2. Check for updates – refer to Checking for Updates in Desktop App
  3. Manually reinstall your Loom App
    • Delete or uninstall your current dadan app.
    • Restart your device
    • Download the most recent version of the app.
  4. Check your upload speed – You will need at least 5mbps upload speed to record successfully with dadan.

iOS

  1. Force Quit App – Swipe up on your device, force quit the app, and then re-open the application.
  2. Check for updates
    • Open the App Store. 
    • Search for dadan.
    • Select and install updates, if available.
  3. Re-install your Dadan App
  4. Check your upload speed – You will need at least 5mbps upload speed to record successfully with dadan.
